Happy Halloween from Kungsträdgården, Stockholm!
On the 31st of October 2015, Stockholm held the biggest Halloween parade in Scandinavia. The Halloween parade, deemed “Shockholm”, was first started in 2011 by Bill Schacht and has been a successful yearly event since. We decided to take a trip down to Stockholm this year to witness the parade ourselves. The event kicked off at Kungsträdgården as the skies darkened just after five in the evening. It started with a catwalk of costumes followed by a march throughout the city. Apart from the parade, one of the coolest things is that every Halloween, Stockholm’s Globen becomes a giant pumpkin! Too bad we couldn’t see the giant pumpkin this year since we had to catch our train back home. Still, we had fun watching the awesome and eerie costumes made with what I think was some serious effort. Keep a lookout for the people I managed to get photos of!
